Independent Writing Project

For my independent writing project I am doing Prompt number 6. What is rebellion? Why do so many young people "Rebel"? Is rebellion a necessary element of growing up?

I think rebellion is when people purposely do what they are not suppose to do. It is also when you do something wrong and you know what you did is wrong but you did it anyway. A lot of kids rebel because they just don't care anymore. At our ages like 12-18 our bodies are going through changes and our attitudes change as well. They also rebel because they don't want to listen to there parents. They don't wanna do school work or do chores or anything that requires work because we think we have better things to do. We also don't realize how important school is so we just hate it because we have to learn every day and its boring. We also take our parents for granted and curse at them or say something we don't really mean because we think that nothing can happen to them when really they can be gone in a second. Overall, rebellion is just not doing the right thing or not caring anymore about what's important in life. 

Rebellion is not a necessary element of growing up but it is going to happen anyway because we all go through challenges and struggles in life that might make us rebel. 

Romeo and Juliet final essay

Romeo and Juliet is a sad romance about two teens who decide to date even though their families are rivals. Romeo's feelings change throughout the play in the beginning hes sad, in the middle hes happy, in the end hes petrified.

In the beginning of the book romeo is sad because he loves Rosaline but she does not love him back. He is in a depression because of this and he thinks he won't love again. I know this because Benvolio says :"Why romeo are thou mad?" Then romeo says :" Not mad, but bound more than a madman is, shut up in prison kept without my food, whipped and tormented, and- good e'en good fellow."
This means that he is lost and sad and he doesn't know what to do anymore.

In the middle of the book Romeo is happy because he sees Juliet for the first time and he falls in love with her. He stares at her and smiles then he takes her hand and they kiss for the first time. Romeo is now over Rosaline and now he loves Juliet. Hes out of his slump and is happy now.

In the end of the book Romeo is petrified because he thinks that Juliet is dead. He thinks this because he heard that she was killed and he went to see if it was true. He saw her on his death bed and he couldn't take it. He loved her so much that he killed himself just to be with her but then she woke up because she really wasn't dead and he saw him dead. She then killed herself this is how the love story of Romeo and Juliet ended.

In conclusion, Romeo's feelings do change throughout the play. This shows how much they loved each other because they couldn't live without each other and they also didn't care about there parents fued. They had to be with each other no matter what.

Romeo and Juliet: Thesis and outline

THESIS: Romeo's feelings change throughout the play.
OUTLINE:

Body paragraph 1: at the party that romeo went to in the beginning of the play he was DEPRESSED and sad because he loves Roseline but Roseline didn't love him back. Then he saw juliet and he fell in love immediately. He was all of a sudden happy and out of his slump. He didn't care if she was capulet he still loved her.

Body paragraph 2: he finds out that she is a capulet and that he can't be with her but he is DETERMINED to be with her because they love each other so much.

Body paragraph 3: when romeo found out that juliet was dead he was PETRIFIED. He didn't want to live without her because he loves her so much that he killed himself so he can be with her again.

I am number four PART 2

Last time I wrote about this book I left off where henry dies. After that, Sam and John go to save sarah from a burning house party. This is when the mogodorians know where to go because they see mark and his dad and they ask where john went so they told him. Then they were chased into the school by the mogs and there was a huge battle between john number 6 and the mogodorian.  They killed the mogs that were hunting them and now they are on the run to find the other 4 loric people left in the world.

My prediction for future books is that they are eventually are all gonna reunite and there is going to be a huge war with the mogodarions and planet earth my become allies with the loric. I think a few of the remaining 9 will be killed but john will stay alive and return to his girlfriend in paradise ohio, sarah

Reading Response: Hitting streaks spread success

This article says that if you get on a team with good hitters that hit the ball a lot you will also start to hit the ball like them. This happens as if it is contagious. The article says that everybody on your team is hitting the ball you will gain confidence and also hit the ball.

This would help me because I am not the best hitter and I don't have a lot of confidence when it comes to hitting the baseball. I play on a team where our hitting is very streaky this means that if a lot of players are hitting the ball we will all try hard to keep the rally alive and we will also hit the ball like the better players.

Blog post Powers of six (part one)

I just read the beginning of the book The Powers of Six by Pittacus Lore it is the sequel to I am number four. In I am number four the main character "Four" aka. John smith defeats a couple of the mogadorians and gets away with number 6, his dog and his friend sam. So far this book is narrated by number 7 of the 9 guarde from planet lorien. The guarde came down  to earth to hide from the mogadorians to save their race from lorien. The first 3 were killed and now they are tracking down the rest, they are the last 6 of their kind. Number 7 has found out about John Smith and is now searching for info on where he can be so she can meet with him and 6. If the rest of the guarde are re-united they will be a lot more powerful and can fight off the mogadorians.

I think number 7 will meet up with 4, 6 and sam but i think her cepan will die trying to protect her just like henry did. I also think they will have to fight the mogadorians once again and somebody will die. I think it will take her a lot more research to meet up with John and the rest or them.

     This article is about the ebola virus and how its spreads throughout the world.  The ebola virus is a deadly virus that some monkeys carry. It can spread from the air. It first went from pigs to monkeys and killed 1,500 people. Scientists experimented, they put 6 infected piglets in a room with monkeys and they were all seperated so they were not touching but the ebola virus infected them anyway. So thats how they know it travels through the air. This virus causes high fevers and deadly bleeding disorders. It is most likely fatal, if you catch it you are probably going to die.

     The author wants me to know what th ebola virus s and what it is capable of and the symptoms. I think it is best to keep your distances from any certain kinds of pig and monkeys because this is a very serious virus and if you get it you will mst likely die and they dint have a cure for it yet. The author tells us what experiments scientists use to find out how the virus is spread and the symptoms.
